May 24: Argentina Turning Around filmmakers screen Good Food in Seattle, WA

On May 24th, Media that Matters vets Melissa Young and Mark Dworkin (Argentina Turning Around) screened their film Good Food at the Northwest Forklife Festival in Seattle, WA as part of the Meaningful Movies Project.

For decades Northwest agriculture was focused on a few big crops for export. But to respond to climate change and the end of cheap energy, each region is beginning to produce more of its own food and to grow food more sustainably. Good Food visits producers, farmers’ markets, distributors, stores, restaurants, chefs and public officials who are developing a more sustainable food system for all. Touring the comeback of the sustainable agriculture movement, the film makes an argument for smaller, more efficient farms.
