The crew behind Media That Matters film HIP HOP IN SENEGAL is throwing an event this weekend. Go show some love!
Nomadic Wax, the pioneering underground global hip-hop record label and event producer, brings a night of deep West African beats, rhymes and life to 92YTribeca. MCs, DJs and a few surprises from Nomadic Wax’s bag of tricks will lead up to a special performance by The Waaw Band, whose fiery Senegalese dance music straight from the streets of Dakar will keep the party going late into the night.
Nomadic Wax is a mobile “guerilla-style” production company and record label dedicated to recording, producing and distributing hip-hop talent from Africa. For more information visit nomadicwax.
