ASPARAGUS: A STALK-UMENTARY in the LOS ANGELES TIMES Emerald City Blog
Media That Matters festival winner and official Good Food selection Asparagus: A Stalk-umentary has been recognized on the Los Angeles Times website in a recent post to their Emerald City blog.
In preparation for warmer weather, guest contributor Katie Ricketts writes about the delectable delight as a signature to springtime in California and the delicious ways the vegetable can be cooked. She points to Asparagus: A Stalk-umentary to bring to light the plight of local farmers and the idea of socially conscious eating. The article includes a recipe for Shiitake-Asparagus Risotto recommended to Rocketts by her co-worker Michael Kuntz. Also included are links to two more recipes - an Asparagus Parmesan Soup and a Tahini-Asparagus Rice Bowl.
