March 2: Grassroots Media Conf, New York, NY; 1:45PM - 2:30PM

The NYC Grassroots Media Coalition will be screening films from the Media That Matters: Good Food focus DVD collection on food and sustainability at the Fifth Annual NYC Grassroots Media Conference at Hunter College on March 2nd from 1:45-2:30pm. Join the filmmakers of Asparagus! (A Stalk-umentary) - Kristen Kelly and Anne de Mare - during a post screening filmmaker Q&A.

The conference theme - Speaking Truth to Power: MEDIA JUSTICE IN OUR COMMUNITIES - invites media makers and community organizers to define what the term "Media Justice" means, as a community and explore how we can begin to make this ideal a reality for New York City.
