Still Standing wins awards
The Educational Video Center (EVC) is proud to announce that Still Standing, a documentary produced by EVC's Youth Organizers Television (YO-TV), has won the CINE Golden Eagle Award this year. The CINE Golden Eagle Award, which distinguishes excellence in professional and amateur works and is recognized internationally as a symbol of the highest production standards in filmmaking and videography. Still Standing also won the prestigious Jury Award at the Seventh Annual Media That Matters Film Festival and Emmy Award-winning Director Ric Burns presented EVCs youth producers with the Jury Award at the Seventh Annual Media That Matters Film Festival in New York City in May saying, Of all the films honored tonight, none touched the jury more than the eight minute film you just saw, Still Standing. It is indeed a pointed dispatch from the front lines of our world, one that lingers in the mind long after the final frames have faded.Published on July 17, 2007
