November 4: Citizens for Global Solutions Annual Conference, Santa Fe, NM

From November 4th through the 6th, 2005, Citizens for Global Solutions' will hold its annual conference in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico. This year's conference theme is "GLOBAL SOLUTIONS, LOCAL CONNECTIONS: Making the global local one activist at a time."

On Friday November 4th at 2pm Arts Engine's Wendy Cohen will be joining the panel New Blogs, Old Tricks: on-line and on-air activism in a connected world. Confirmed speakers: Steve Clemons, New America Foundation; Wendy Cohen, Arts Engine; Richard Towne, KUNM-FM radio; Roman Sandoval, 2nd place winner, Citizens for Global Solutions' Flash Movie Contest. Moderator: Belinda Rawlins, New Mexico Media Literacy Project.

On the evening of Friday November 4th is the 1st Annual Global Solutions Film Festival taking place at The Lensic Performing Arts Center, 7:30pm. The program begins with four Media That Matters Film Festival shorts and is followed by the featured film, The Peacekeepers. Director Paul Cowan will attend for a Q&A following the screening.
