Liquid Culture is part of the Free Culture UK movement, a national organization which aggregates grassroots groups that promote an open, partecipatory culture. Their aim is to promote awareness of social, cultural and political issues related to free culture and free software, to promote the use of Creative Commons licenses for creative works and of Free Software licenses for software.

Every other Thursday is Liquid Culture Flix, exciting screenings of Creative Commons-licensed videos, ranging from full movies to documentaries to social and media critique. On November 17th, Liquid Culture Flix is hosting a screening of Media That Matters!
