Lowell Telecommunications Corporation (LTC), the Pollard Memorial Library, the United Teen Equality Center (UTEC) will present the Media That Matters Film Festival in Lowell on January 11 and 12, 2006. Lowell's two day film festival will include a complete screening of the 5th Annual Media that Matters Film Festival and some films from the 4th Annual Medial That Matters Film Festival. These films will be grouped according to theme and followed by a discussion. Themes include youth and politics, youth in the information age, gay, lesbian, and transgender youth, and youth and the environment. Food and beverages will be provided, and all events are free and open to the public.

Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Revolving Museum LAB
5 PM to 8 PM
181 Market Street, Lowell

This complete screening of the 5th Annual Media That Matters Film Festival will be hosted by the Revolving Museum in its LAB space at 181 Market Street and feature performances by teens from UTEC. Films from the 4th and 5th Annual Media That Matters Film Festivals will be screened at the Pollard Memorial Library. Short films of a similar theme will be shown together and followed by a discussion. Food and beverages will be provided. Free and open to the public.
