First National Expo of Ethnic Media

New California Media, the Independent Press Association-NY and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism present the First National EXPO of Ethnic Media. Representatives from over 30 youth media organizations and over 1,500 participants will network and exchange ideas by learning about key partnerhsips in the youth media arena. The daylong expo will include interactive events, activites, workshops, shoWcases of spoken work poetry, live mural painting, break dancing to name a few. There will also be a multimedia film festival featuring work from more than 20 youth producers.

MediaRights' Wendy Cohen will be representing MediaRights' Youth Media Distribution Initiative, and the Expo will showcase some of the youth-produced films from the fifth annual Media That Matters Film Festival.
