Festival Jury Member Attends World Festival of Youth and Students

From August 7 – 15, 2005, eighteen year-old Habibah Ahmad will be documenting The 16th World Festival of Youth and Students in Caracas, Venezuela. Ms. Ahmad is a youth producer from Manhattan Neigborhood Network’s Youth Channel and member of the Media That Matters Festival jury.
Over 10,000 youth from over 100 countries around the world will travel to Caracas to participate in the 16th annual World Festival of Youth and Students. This is an international gathering of young people from every region of the world who come together in the spirit of peace and international solidarity.
Ms. Ahmad has received scholarships from the United States National Preparatory Committee, New York City Local Organizing Committee and Manhattan Neigborhood Network to attend the Festival. "I am really glad for the opportunity to represent MNN Youth Channel at the festival, as well as build with other youth activist from around the world," said Ms. Ahmad.
