Have you seen the The News Is What We Make It ? This claymation short explores the dangers of our current media landscape where ownership of mainstream media is concentrated in 7 conglomerates. The internet and especially the increasing power of blogs, is completely altering this media climate. Frustrated media consumers are becoming producers. Bloggers are deconstructing, correcting and sometimes breaking news stories.

Yesterday in the New York Times, the article Answering Back To News Media, Using the Internet examines how websites and blogs are taking on mainstream news. Author Katharine Q Seelye writes, "This new weapon in the media wars is shifting the center of gravity in the way that news is gathered and presented, and it carries implications for the future of journalism."
