Public Interest was founded by a group of film and financial professionals who saw the need to fill an important niche in the world of advertising. Public Interest develops and produces PSAs (Public Service Announcements) and other short-form film and video projects that help its partner nonprofit organizations communicate their message as effectively as possible to reach their target audiences.
Public Interest produces top-quality PSAs with some of the top creative talent at the top facilities in Hollywood. Taking the Emmy two times in a row for Best Public Service Campaign in 2002 and 2003, Public Interest continues to educate the public about issues pertaining to health, safety, discrimination and civil rights by producing programming maximizing entertainment value, information content and production values.

Michael Franzini is an accomplished director and photographer. He has dedicated himself full-time to the work of Public Interest for over four years dividing his time between creative direction and managing the day-to-day business of the nonprofit. A graduate of USC film school, Michael has won numerous awards for directing. Before coming to his senses, he worked in business for several years, as Associate Director of Cambridge Technology Partners. Now he’s focused on redefining the world of public service advertising.

Dave Isser handles everything from research and design to stopped drains and bricklaying. Dave was the former Director of Development at Carol Baum Productions, where he worked on films such as, The Good Girl, and Carolina. Dave is also a director and hails originally from somewhere in the mountains of Oregon.
