June 27: AMLA National Media Education Conference, San Francisco, CA

The Alliance for Media Literate America (AMLA) is hosting the National Media Education Conference from June 25-28 in San Francisco, CA. his year's conference theme is Giving a Voice to a Diverse Nation as it hopes to explore: how people in our diverse society are represented in and by the media; how we can create media that will serve us and the communities in which we live; and how we can teach the skills needed for full particiapte in the infomation age.

MediaRights' Shira Golding will be attending the conference and presenting a session titled "Youth Media Distribution" on Sunday June 26th from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

There will be a Media That Matters Film Festival screening from 9:15 to 10:00 pm on Monday, June 27th.
