We announced our Jury Award winner a few days ago. Here are 2 more films that are joining the Media That Matters family of inspiring, social-issue shorts.

The News Is What We Make It, directed and produced by Nickey Robare sheds light on the growing media problem: When the same company owns all the TV stations in town, where can you turn for an alternative perspective? This claymation tells the story of a high-schooler who turns insult into action when she gets burned by a local TV station.
Winner of the Media Reform Award sponsored by Utne magazine.

Bad Choices is a youth produced digital story directed by Aderian Fair and produced by Natasha Freidus and Curt McPhail. Without a support system, it’s hard for a teenager to stay out of trouble. Aderian reflects on the lessons he has learned from his bad choices.
