Global Week of Action for Women's Rights

Have you watched Novela, Novela, winner of the Women's Rights Award? Today marks the beginning of the Global Week of Action for Women's Rights. From March 1-8 2005, people around the world are participating in the official Beijing+10 conference review. The Beijing+10 review is about looking at whether governments have kept their promises to advance women’s quality and human rights, promises made ten years ago at the Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women.

OneWorld United States is hosting online web coverage of the conference as well as updated news items on events taking place at the conference.

Beyond Beijing is posting events happening around the world as well as ways to Take Aciton

The week culminates on March 8 which is Intenational Women's Day and while most events will be concentrated during this Global Week of Action, our involvement shouldn't end on March 8!
