Posted on April 15, 2005

Downtown Latté in Toledo, Ohio is hosting a screenin of Media That Matters. This is the only coffee house in toledo that serves fair trade coffee exclusively.  Locally owned and operated by two women, it's been open for one year, and has attracted a lot of local progressives.  During the presidential election it was the meeting place for MoveOn, the League of Pissed off Voters, ACT, and the Kerry Campaign.  During the month of March they did a presentation series "Peace in Action" in which they highlighted the work of local organizers and free thinkers in their work for peace and non-violence in Ohio.  Some presenters included Food Not Bombs, Community Gardens, and Veterans for Peace.
