Billboard Activists Battle Big Media

If you've watched Pedro Carvajal's POPaganda, then you are well-versed on the grassroots battle to reclaim public spaces.
In contrast to Ron English who has been arrested many times for his unauthorized liberation of billboards, Project Billboard, an anti-war group based in San Francisco has been going the legal route, renting public ad spaces to broadcast their message of peace. In fact, they were planning to mount a huge billboard in Times Square during the Republican National Convention with the above image and message. However, the media megacorporation Clear Channel, who originally leased them the space has now revoked the contract because the content is "too political."
