I think that the grass roots action that is being taken to combat the effects HIV on children in India is the best way at this time to fight this disease and social problems everywhere. That is, our world leaders are not stepping up to the plate as they should, so it is up to us take the lead and fight against HIV and other social problems. I have learned two lessons from watching this video. One, we need to take unified grass roots action to put new world leaders in place represent the people and take care of the public, including the disenfranchised . Lesson two, until new leadership is accomplished the public will have to help each other and the disenfranchised, especially children.

Does anyone remember who won the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize? It was Muhammad Yunus of Bengali. He won the prize for developing the microloan. He made loans of about $25 to people who had been enslaved by small debts. These meager amounts of money helped people to stop being indentured slaves and start small business. He did it single handedly. For obvious reasons this was not widely publicized in America.
