so...they stole their land and now they don't want them to build what they want on it? wonderful. anyone who believe racism is over or in the past should watch this video. these 'non-natives' should be true to themselves and wear klan outfits.

I loved the story. Everyone gets their time at bat, considering the many wrongs bestowed upon the Native Americans, I say it's time to play ball. They have a legal right to decide their own destiny, chart their own course, build their financial future. If this story was about Donald Trump, or Walmart wanting to develope in the area, there would never be a negative uproar. Yes, the attitude of some citizens is indeed racist, you can't deny that, no matter what you try to wrap around it. So, if you build it....they will come, I'll come, given that I'm on the East Coast, I would vacation there. Great story!

This is unbelievable. To hear the white people of this town rattle off the reasons that the Native people should not be able to put a casino in their backyards is mindboggling.
1. It violates my home
2. I don't want a casino in my backyard anymore than anyone else does
3. More crime
4. Violates nature
5. "Indians" are getting instant millionaire status
The list goes on and on and makes me wonder what the Native people of this country thought when the white settlers came over. Do you think they wanted syphillis and alcoholism, guns, murder and the imperialism that violated THEIR homes???? Do you think they wanted the white settlers to become "instant millionaires" because of the rape and pillage of their own people and land??? I'm going to go on a limb and say no.
Capitalism and imperialism are both the "American way." Whites came over here, and not only taught it, but force-fed it to these Native people - now suck it up and deal with it when it encroaches on your backyard and doesn't benefit YOU for a change - you hypocrits.

I support the Native Americans in this film. They are simply doing what Americans have always done, there's an opportunity for ecomonic gain and they are taking it. They even attempted to be considerate of the community by proposing that part of the profits go to the town. It's ironic that the towns people would be so against it, after all that's what the pilgrims did when they came to America. Not only that, they actually stole land and massacred many Native Americans to get what they wanted in the name of "progress." The Native Americans in this film are far more responsible. I think in many instances white Americans are extremely selfish, when we were busy enslaving people and killing others in an effort to gain wealth, we didn't take one second to entertain the cries of other humans. How dare we attempt to block the Native Americans in gaining economically?
