Well done, boys. I'm from northern Michigan, and we have our own nasty Mallwart up here. I appreciated how you implicated the family of land barrons who seem to be behind all of the unwelcome development in Hazlet. It take local compliance, not just a mega corporation, to allow for these kinds of developments to occur.

I'd love to watch the videos but they're not loading. Is the problem at my end or yours?

It is amazing to see how an "All-American" store like Wal-Mart can effect an entire town.

It seems as though in this film these people are in a no win sitiuation. Everybody pays water bills or bills in general but it seems as though that it is not fair for them paying that much money for a water bill. Looking at the area, it seems as though it is one of the more urban parts of Michigan and in the film all who you see really complaining and wanting help is the black community.

Wal-Mart is a demanding business that tries to put out other businesses. Wal-Mart puts out other small businesses that needs to keep their homes and they move them away cause, they can't get business. Wal-Mart
moves into a small town and take over other business that can't compete with them and take over the whole town.

I personally think that Wal-marts just should not be built for the simple reason that they are running stores out of business. Once they run these stores out of business, there are just small empty vacant buldings left there for no reason. In this clip, Elliott said that if the town went to court against Wal-mart, they would bankrupt the township. I think that is file and redicilous because there will be a Wal-mart with no town around it, and because of that the air will be polluted since they will probably build other things around it and knock down all the houses and little businesses around.
