Anya Kandel, Director

Founder and executive director of Momentus International, Anya Kandel is sparking an international conversation among global youth. The mission of her organization is to provide a creative space for youth to communicate and collaborate across borders. Based out of San Francisco, California, Anya works as a theater artist and promotes community development and empowerment through the arts. She graduated in 2006 from the University of California, Berkeley, synthesizing film studies, theater and social and cultural anthropology. While living and studying in Ghana, West Africa, Anya studied storytelling as a means of communication. She has since developed workshops for Momentus that promote dialogue through creative storytelling, and has worked with youth in the Netherlands, Ghana and the United States.
