FILMMAKER BIOS

M.J. Watkins, Producer

M.J. Watkins began a full spectrum digital production company, to combine her skills in the creative fields of digital video, web and print design.  Fly-Up Media has produced music videos, short documentaries, corporate videos, instructional videos and short experimental videos. Watkins has received the Spontaneous Combustion award for the music video Red Riding Hood, the Seton Hall University Film Award for Diary of Two Mad College Students, and a PBS Honorable Mention for her paper animation Goosebumps. The Farm Sanctuary is the 6th video project for Watkins and Dalton working with students and the issues of personal and social responsible choices.

Trish Dalton, Producer

Trish Dalton joined Fly-Up Media two years ago with seven years experience as a producer, director, videographer and editor.  Dalton has produced videos for a variety of nonprofit organizations and NGO’s affiliated with the United Nations on the subject of Indigenous peoples and women’s issues. She has received wide acclaim among the nonprofit community for her videos, highlighted by the Tribeca Film Festival in Spring 2005.

Saint Ignatius School

Saint Ignatius School in the Bronx, NY, grew out of the grassroots efforts of Jesuits and their lay supporters to provide social services and act as advocates for immigrant youth.  In an area long known for failing public schools, the rare opportunities that a Nativity-model middle school could provide were clear, and Saint Ignatius School formally opened in 1995.
