ABOUT THE FILM

The first federal bill to stop prison rape, the Prison Rape Reduction Act of 2002, was introduced in the US congress in the summer of 2002. No Escape, Prison Rape played a major part in introducing the issue to key lawmakers and Rodney’s mother was the opening witness at the hearings. The bill has not yet been voted into law, making the continued public push for change all the more important.
