ABOUT THE FILM

Is My Neighbor Latino? was produced and directed by Jorge Aguirre and commissioned by Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB). Shot in a donated Manhattan studio and a backyard in Staten Island, Aguirre’s aim was to use humor to challenge conventional perceptions of Latinos in under one minute. LPB supports the development, production, acquisition, and distribution of non-commercial educational and cultural television that is representative of Latino people, or addresses issues of particular interest to Latino Americans.
