ABOUT THE FILM
More About Food for Thought from Producer Kids on the Hill
The Food for Thought animation was created by a group of middle school age young people in Baltimore as a part of an art and media after school program called Kids on the Hill. In order to make this project they learned to cook and try new foods, they learned about nutrition and why fresh fruits and vegetables are so good for you, they visited grocery stores and learned that it is hard to find healthy foods in poor neighborhoods and they learned that eating badly causes disease. They made this project to try to teach others about eating well. They also made a poster that they put up in neighborhood stores to promote healthy eating.
