Angela is currently an MFA Candidate in the Film Production Program at the University of Texas - Austin and recipient of the E.D. Farmer Fellowship by the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies. She has also been awarded by CONARTE in Monterrey, Mexico with the Fund for the Artistic Professional Studies Abroad 2009.
In addition to Exiled in America, her other works include El Debut, a short film about a woman who’s dream of being on TV finally is going to come true in a very peculiar way, Happy Birthday Austin, a short film that exploring the hidden lives of four fate-related characters in the quiet facade of their neighborhood, and The Language of the Wind, a short that criticizes the routine when it doesn’t allow people to see the beautiful and small things in life.
