ABOUT THE FILM
More About Dedicated to My Family from youth Director Nicole Sobottke
Hello, I’m the filmmaker of Dedicated to My Family. The movie is about my experience living in a homeless shelter, and looking for what I believed was a “perfect family.” I was able to make my movie through a program called Reel Grrls. Reel Grrls teaches teenage girls how to produce their own videos and tell their own stories. I first heard about Reel Grrls from a wonderful woman named Suzy Everson. She is a mentor and a friend to me. I grew up in Everett, Washington. I’ve had the same best friend since I was 6 months old. My video explains a lot. Making it was a fun and exciting thing for me. My main interest is the improvement of animal welfare. I’m now currently in Cascades job corps and doing awesome. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
